I have this phrase tattooed on my foot…and if you’ve heard of Confucius…you are well aware of how the story goes:
A journey of a thousand miles…begins with a single step.
If we cross paths, you might think: I ran out of foot (pun intended) or that I did it as a symbolic nod to “a single step”. Both, very justified, guesstimates. However, one of the things I do best, is read between lines, and even though there’s only one, you have to sort of do the same.
The end of the quote is missing MORE so as a nod to the fact that when you take that step, it may not necessarily be visible.
A few weeks ago, I was facing the equivalent of an emotional sky dive; the adrenaline rush, as I would imagine it, was certainly the same. I surely couldn’t see the ground, and I still can’t, but I’m on my way. When I hit mile marker 1000, you’ll be the first to know.
