Position Yourself

I fail at posturing, every time; I officially commit to getting better.

If you’ve followed previous posts, you already know this is a personal struggle. By struggle, I specifically mean proclaiming what may or may not be obvious. Quite frankly, I don’t want to be in the business of proclaiming anything. I am an observer to my core and it takes real effort for me to remember, most people are not.

Lately, I’ve observed numerous reminders of the power of an image. Trust me when I say, as someone that definitely falls into the “visionary” category, I get it. Here en lies my struggle. By nature, I “see” far more than I could ever articulate. So just like I struggle with labels, I struggle with language — they both start with an l for a reason: they are limiting.

Nothing makes me pass go and collect $200 like a limit!

Regardless of the reality, language is the best life has to offer when it comes to connection. It is an absolute must that we say what we mean and mean what we say.

Take it from me, don’t waste another second doing anything less.

  1. What do you think labels are limiting when it comes to being able to communicate what you are seeing (If I understood your post correctly)?

“It is an absolute must that we say what we mean and mean what we say.” Easier said than done as there is so much nuance that comes with it. For instance does one need to say it out loud for others to here or can/should they internalize it?

    Do you have a podcast?

P.S. Great to see you blogging again. Keep up the great work!!!
